Bringing SPED
to a wider audience
pipingdesigners.com
are pleased to announce that we are teaming up with SPED - the Society
of Piping Engineers & Designers.
The Society
of Piping Engineers and Designers (SPED) is an international
society established to promote excellence and quality in the practice
of piping engineering and design. SPED emphasizes education and
training to advance the employability and competitiveness if its
members.
SPED has established 4 levels of skill.
Two based on testing and two through work experience. The proven
SPED testing scripts can be offered to individuals and in-company
groups. The test ensures that each designer has the knowledge required
to layout piping efficiently at Level I or to connect to main plant
items correctly at Level III.
In conjunction with
pipingdesigners.com
and 20cc.co.uk,
SPED are expanding their reach outside of the US and Canada, where
the programme has gained widespread recognition.
There are a number
of ways they do this.
- There is membership which the employer can organise
and this automatically enrols all their pipers.
- The Society certifies 4 skill levels and publishes
the names of those achieving them. A valuable addition to your
corporate skills on qualification documents and your CV / resume.
- Training via the Internet, face to face and by
video is also offered.
- SPED membership is also offered on an individual
basis, to piping designers, and is recommended to any designers
looking to add that extra edge to their CV / resume.
Details are on the
www.20cc.co.uk
website, click Piping Design Services.
Further details on
SPED PPD Certification can be found on www.spedweb.com.
